Solar Electricity

Solar Electricity

Cut your electricity bills

Sunlight is free, so once you've paid for the initial installation your electricity costs will be significantly reduced. A typical system can produce around 80% of the electricity a household uses in a year and has a life expectancy of over 25 years.

Constant increases in electricity prices here in Spain and the dramatic reduction in the cost of solar equipment means that solar electricity is now a very sound and risk-free investment. When you consider that it can also be financed with a range of credit options, why wait?

Save the Planet?

Perhaps not on your own, but you can do your bit and reduce your footprint. Solar electricity generates no air pollution, releases no carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxide, sulphur dioxide or mercury into the atmosphere. It operates silently and has no moving parts.

How Does it Work?

Solar photovoltaics (PV) is the generation of electricity from sunlight. Solar panels contain thousands of solar cells. Their job is to collect light photons and convert the energy they contain into direct current (DC) electricity. This photo-generated DC electricity can be used directly to charge a battery or passed through a machine called an inverter, which converts it into alternating current (AC) electricity, the type used to power household appliances.

Solar in Spain provides a range of complete solar electric power systems for both residential and commercial applications. If you would like to know more about solar electricity and the benefits it can bring you, please contact us for more information
